ADX at AES 2014

Oct 24, 2014Blog, Lifestyle

As you probably already know, since we refused to shut up about it for the last two months, Audionamix recently had the pleasure of sponsoring and participating in the 137th Audio Engineering Society Convention in Los Angeles! What an amazing experience it was to meet and chat with so many enthusiastic Music and Audio professionals, audiophiles, students, tech wizards and all manner of proud geeks and gear-heads who attended!

We set up our humble booth and crossed our fingers hoping for the opportunity to introduce a few people to our beloved Source Separation solution, ADX TRAX, and perhaps for those already familiar to tease the upcoming ADX TRAX Pro release and Vocal Volume Control plug-in. Would anybody stop by? Does anybody care? What if they don’t like us? What then? What THEN?!

Well, we had a pretty great weekend, as it turned out! ADX Product Specialists gave demo after demo to dozens of convention-goers. Enthusiasts and skeptics alike sat with our ADXperts and got a one-on-one look at TRAX in action. Even celebrity DJ/Remix-Artist, Dave Aude stopped by!

On Sunday, we had the honor of bringing in a few notables ourselves. Producer David Benson and Mix-Engineer Bill Schnee joined us on the Project Studio Expo stage to discuss the role of ADX Technology in providing the isolated vocals of legendary and sadly departed performers for the production of Barry Manilow’s latest release, “My Dream Duets.”

All in all it was a great time for everyone! We made some great new friends, saw some amazing new products and had the chance to share our latest labors with the audio world. Many thanks to everyone who came by the booth, to the Audio Engineering Society, to our special guests, David Benson and Bill Schnee, to Monster Products for their DNA headphones and Steve Knight at ErgoLab for providing the awesome chairs!
