We’re proud to announce that our research team will be attending ISMIR New York 2016 (August 7-11) to present their paper on vocal melody transcription. The paper introduces a new method for performing the detection of vocal melodies using a deep neural network approach.

These latest research advances were made available for TRAX and TRAX Pro users with the 2.6 release at NAMM 2016, through the option “Improved Vocal Targeting”. This feature allows a more robust detection of the vocal pitch line and results in a more accurate automatic separation. The ADX community response to these improvements has been overwhelmingly positive. This is a step further toward our goal of delivering professional separation results automatically.

About the convention: ISMIR stands for the International Society of Music Information Retrieval. The conference is held annually and is the world’s leading research forum on processing, searching, organizing and accessing music-related data.
