Halfway Around the World in 30 Days: The Tale of a Trade Show Tour

May 14, 2015Uncategorized

April, 10th, 2015: The beginning of a month-long trade show tour that took members of the ADX team to Las Vegas, Frankfurt, and Warsaw to represent and showcase Audionamix and its technology.

We're not in LA anymore!

One of the best aspects of travel is its inherent ability to offer new perspectives. In this case, a view from above.

Our tour begins at AVID Connect in Las Vegas, Nevada, where Avid employees meet with over 1,000 Avid Customers Association members to learn about, discuss, and help shape the future development of AVID platforms and their place in the AVID Everywhere vision, and the industry as a whole. Our very own COO and VP of Product Development, Rick Silva, is in attendance to discuss ADX VVC‘s place in the new AVID Marketplace, and as a featured AVID plug-in at Musikmesse.

The NAB Show 2015

An NAB Infographic, on-site drone demonstration, and more proof that AVID is Everywhere.

April, 16th – 20th: The NAB Show kicks off, right down the strip from AVID Connect. ADX’s Director of Business Development, Scott Pederson, and Production Supervisor, David Hewitt, join the nearly 100,000 media and entertainment professionals attending the conference. This exhibition, put on by the National Association of Broadcasters, explores innovations and technologies in Broadcast, Digital Media, Film, Entertainment, Telecom, Post-Production, and more. Debuting this year is the Aerial Robotics and Drone Pavilion, an enclosed cage where companies demonstrate their futuristic filming fliers. Other eye-popping attractions include Ultra High Definition TVs, interactive TV and radio applications, as well as cutting-edge production equipment and technology.

musikmesse

April 15th – 18th: ADX team members from both Paris and LA unite in Frankfurt, Germany for Musikmesse, the world’s largest music fair for musical instruments and the music business. The LA team battles jet lag as an estimated 96,000 attendees get hands-on with the gear (and software) of their dreams, including live demos of ADX Tech. The team spreads the good word about audio separation technology, teases upcoming products, and develops partnerships while ADX VVC shines on display at the AVID booth down the hall. Attendees are astounded by the availability and variety of würst (we recommend the currywürst with frites). Congratulations to our daily raffle winners who walked away with over $700 in prizes, including full copies of ADX TRAX, ADX TRAX Pro, and ADX VVC!

AES

May 7th – 10th: Following a two week break that includes a trip to the ADX Paris office, meetings about the future direction and focus of our products and technology, we regroup in our CEO Maciej Zielinski’s hometown of Warsaw for the 138th International AES Convention. A big thank you to MBS for inviting us to take part in your booth exhibit! As we rub elbows with our booth mates, Cube-Tec and their Studer A807 Tape Recorder, we connect with both current and future TRAX users, and discuss the research behind our products with the numerous audio researchers in attendance. On Sunday, the Sofitel Victoria auditorium fills with eager minds, ready to listen and absorb advice on creating music for film and TV as presented by our very own Maciej Zielinski.

May 16th: As we begin to settle back into our LA routine, we still have one more show to go! IMSTA FESTA hits SAE Los Angeles tomorrow, May 16th, from 11:00AM – 6:00PM. This free event includes breakfast, a keynote address by Rodney ‘Darkchild’ Jerkins, master classes by the best in the software biz, and of course, your very own ADX trade show tour team! So stop on by, say hi, and let’s talk the trade, the trade shows and how I need a nap.
