Another year, another great trip to Japan to attend the InterBEE convention and meet up with our friendly neighborhood partners at Crypton!

Rick got things started, meeting with the Pokemon Corporation, UltraMan and Nippon TV (Japan’s largest broadcast network). The topic of discussion was our music dissociation and dialogue isolation services and how they might help these companies monetize older content.

At the show, held at the sprawling Makuhari Messe in Chiba, we presented the updates to our vocal isolation technology, ADX TRAX Pro, as well as introducing the attendees to our latest speech separation technology used in ADX SVC.

Thanks once again to Ryoko, who translated all of the technical information — along with the silly jokes — in real time for the audience.

Product Specialist Taka enthusiastically demo’d our products at the Sonicwire booth. Taka knows all the ins and outs of TRAX Pro, VVC, and SVC, and we are grateful to have him to explain the products to our users in Japan. He is a leading candidate to head the Audionamix Sapporo branch when it opens in 2020.

We also met with Sound and Recording magazine to answer questions about the newest features in TRAX Pro as well as SVC and its many uses for noise reduction and dialogue level adjustment.

After hours, we had great food, cold beer, and English and Japanese lessons (Ichi, Ni, San!) There was music talk, focusing on legends of guitar like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Led Zeppelin, and of course, Jimi Hendrix.

TRIVIA: Jimi was born Johnny Allen Hendrix in Seattle.

With one last glance at the colorful lights and the ornate Christmas decorations sprouting up in Tokyo, we headed back to Los Angeles, thankful for the chance to share our technological offerings with the world. Looking forward to seeing the Crypton team in LA for NAMM 2017!
