The Audionamix team was excited to return to the Music Tectonics virtual conference in 2021 as a meteor sponsor, to present the latest developments in music stemming technology. Music start-ups from all over the world were able to participate in the event, including top music companies like Art + Logic, Rumblefish, Artiphon and more. Let’s recap some memorable moments from this year’s Music Tectonics conference.

The virtual portion of the event was hosted on the software platform, Degy World, where attendees could create their own unique avatar and walk through the virtual expo hall to meet and discover new companies, applications, and network with professionals in the music industry. With their microphones, users could talk to other people in a 3D space just like in real life! The interactive Audionamix booth at the virtual expo hall featured a new welcome video with words from the Audionamix team as well as clients who have used Audionamix Professional Services.

Audionamix COO, Ellie McNeil, also spoke in the panel discussion titled “Lift Off: What it Takes to Get Your Music Tech Startup Idea Off the Ground” along with Xann Schwinn, the cofounder of ChoralHub, as well as CEO of Artiphon Mike Butera and panel moderator Andrew Sherbrooke from Art + Logic. The panel was a very engaging discussion about the challenges of creating a music start-up, with an array of different perspectives from various areas of music technology. Ending the virtual event was “Swimming with Narwhals” which awarded Choralhub as the winning tech start-up of the pitch competition.

After the virtual conference, an in-person meetup was hosted at the Santa Monica Pier, where attendees could meet face to face, eat tacos and ride the carousel. We had a great time networking and meeting fellow music professionals. Thank you to Music Tectonics and Rock Paper Scissors, for hosting another great event. We can’t wait to return next year for Music Tectonics 2022!
